About the university
The University of Mwaro officially opened its doors on December 1, 2001. It was created by the Collectif des Associations Communes de Developpement de la Province de Mwaro (CAD), nine communes from the bordering provinces as well as some intellectuals and other people wishing to get involved in the development of higher education and the country in general.
