About the university
The Insurance Training College (ITC) of Uganda was founded in 1964 to serve as the educational division of Ugandas insurance industry. It gained official recognition under the Insurance (Amendment) Act of 2011, and in 2017, it was restructured as the Insurance Training College of Uganda, a public tertiary institution, under the provisions of the Insurance Act of 2017.
